Hello, my beautiful sisters,
Have you ever felt like you’re stuck in a rut?
Like you should be working toward something, but you have no idea what that “something” even is?
Maybe you’ve watched other people chase their dreams, build businesses, or transform their lives—and you’re just sitting there thinking, “But what do I even want?”
Sis, I hear you.
It’s frustrating when you don’t have clarity. It can make you feel lost, unmotivated, or even like you’re falling behind. But let me tell you this: not knowing what you want doesn’t mean you’re stuck forever.
It just means you haven’t discovered your next step yet.
So today, we’re going to talk about how to set goals, even when you don’t have a clear vision yet. Because sometimes, the first step is just figuring out who you are and what excites you. Let’s get into it.
The Struggle of Not Knowing
💭 Maybe you’ve tried to set goals in the past, but they never really felt right, so you gave up.
💭 Maybe you’re in a season of life where everything is changing, and you’re just trying to figure out what’s next.
💭 Or maybe you’ve been so focused on survival—paying bills, taking care of family, handling responsibilities—that you haven’t even had time to think about what YOU want.
Sis, you are not alone in this.
Many people struggle with goal-setting because they don’t have clarity yet. But here’s the truth: Clarity comes from action, not just thinking.
You don’t have to have it all figured out before you take the first step.
Step 1: Start with What You DO Know
Even if you don’t have a big goal in mind, you do know some things about yourself.
What do you enjoy? What excites you? What are you naturally drawn to?
Try this simple exercise:
🔹 Make a list of activities, topics, or experiences that make you happy.
🔹 Think about the last time you felt genuinely excited about something—what was it?
🔹 Write down things you’d like to explore, even if they seem small.
💡 Example: Maybe you don’t know your dream career yet, but you do know you love helping people.
That’s a start! Follow that interest and see where it leads.
Step 2: Set Exploration Goals Instead of Destination Goals
Instead of saying, “I want to be a six-figure entrepreneur,” try saying, “I want to explore different ways of making money that align with my interests.”
🔹 Give yourself permission to try new experiences without pressure.
🔹 Take an online class, start a small project, or shadow someone in a field you’re curious about.
🔹 See what feels right and what doesn’t.
💡 Example: If you’re unsure about your career path, set a goal to try three different side hustles in the next three months and see what excites you most.
Step 3: Identify What You DON’T Want
Sometimes, clarity comes not from knowing what you love—but from realizing what you don’t want.
🔹 Make a list of jobs, situations, or habits that drain you.
🔹 Think about past experiences—what made you unhappy?
🔹 Use this list to eliminate options that don’t align with your peace and happiness.
💡 Example: Maybe you tried working a 9-to-5 and hated the structure. That tells you you need more flexibility in your future goals.
Step 4: Focus on Small, Achievable Steps
Big goals can feel overwhelming, especially when you’re unsure of the direction. Instead, focus on small wins.
🔹 Set a goal to read a book on personal development.
🔹 Try a 30-day challenge related to a new habit or skill.
🔹 Reach out to people doing things you admire and ask for advice.
💡 Example: If you feel stuck in life, commit to doing one new thing every week—a new hobby, a new class, or even just journaling about your thoughts.
Step 5: Trust the Process and Be Kind to Yourself
Sis, you don’t have to have all the answers today.
You are allowed to be a work in progress.
🔹 Understand that your goals will evolve—and that’s okay!
🔹 Give yourself grace and enjoy the journey of self-discovery.
🔹 Know that every step forward—no matter how small—is still progress.
💡 Example: Instead of pressuring yourself to have a 5-year plan, commit to checking in with yourself every 3 months and adjusting your path as needed.
You Are Not Lost, You Are Learning

Sis, not knowing what you want is not the same as having no direction.
You are in a season of discovery, and that is powerful.
Every successful woman you admire has been where you are right now. They had to start with uncertainty, try different things, and figure out their path along the way.
And so will you.
You are not behind. You are not lost. You are on your way to something beautiful.
