Hello, my beautiful sisters!
Let’s talk about something we often overlook: the spaces we live in and how they impact our minds.
Have you ever looked around your home and felt drained by the clutter?
Maybe it’s the pile of papers on your desk, clothes spilling out of your closet, or kitchen counters that have vanished under a sea of “stuff.”
Sisters, our physical environments are deeply connected to our mental and emotional well-being. Clutter can distract you, make you feel overwhelmed, and even block you from focusing on your goals.
But today, we’re not talking about an extreme, Marie Kondo-style overhaul.
Instead, we’re diving into soft decluttering—a gentle, intentional process to clear your space and your mind so you can re-align with your dreams.
Soft Decluttering Doesn’t Have to Be Exhausting
I know how hard it can be to let go of things.
Maybe you’re holding onto an old gift because it feels wrong to throw it away, or you’ve got clothes you haven’t worn in years because they might come back in style. We’ve all been there.
The truth is, though, every piece of clutter represents an unmade decision—and too many unmade decisions can weigh you down.
But here’s the good news: you don’t have to declutter everything in one exhausting weekend.
Soft decluttering is about small, manageable changes that build momentum and create clarity, leaving you with a space that supports your goals, not works against them.
Practical Steps: Soft Decluttering in Action
- Start Small: One Area at a Time
- Choose a single drawer, shelf, or corner. The goal isn’t to overhaul your whole house in one day but to make consistent progress.
- Action Item: Set a timer for 15 minutes and work on clearing one small area. Celebrate when it’s done, no matter how small it seems!
- Ask the Right Questions
- As you handle each item, ask yourself: Does this support my current goals? Does it bring me joy? Does it add value to my life?
- Action Item: Create two piles—“Keep” and “Let Go.” Be honest and gentle with yourself during the process.
- Let Go of Guilt Clutter
- This includes items you feel obligated to keep but don’t love or use. Maybe it’s that expensive gadget you never touch or the sweater your friend gave you that’s not your style.
- Action Item: Give yourself permission to donate or recycle these items. Guilt isn’t a good reason to hold onto things.
- Create a “Focus Zone” for Your Goals
- Dedicate one clear, clutter-free area to working on your goals—a desk for writing, a corner for crafting, or a space for meditating.
- Action Item: Remove distractions from this area and add items that inspire and motivate you, like a vision board or a motivational quote.
- Adopt the One-In, One-Out Rule
- For every new item you bring into your space, let go of something old. This helps prevent future clutter.
- Action Item: The next time you buy something new, take a moment to remove an item that no longer serves you.

Encouragement
Sisters, soft decluttering is about progress, not perfection. Each step you take clears a little more mental space for you to focus on what truly matters: your dreams, your goals, and the life you’re building. Remember, the things you own should support you—not the other way around.
Call to Action
This week, I challenge you to pick one area in your home and give it some love through soft decluttering. Whether it’s your desk, your wardrobe, or even your car, commit to clearing just a small part of your space. Notice how it makes you feel—lighter, freer, and more focused.
Then, come back and share your experience! What did you let go of? How did it help you feel more aligned with your goals? I’d love to hear from you, sisters. Let’s declutter our way to clarity and success, one small step at a time.
With love and a fresh start,
Shelia
