When Dreams Feel Distant

Hello, my beautiful sisters.

Have you ever felt like your dreams were slipping further and further away? Maybe you’ve worked hard, prayed, and stayed faithful, but the breakthrough still hasn’t come. It’s easy to feel disheartened, but I want to encourage you today.

Even when dreams feel distant, God is not done with you. Let’s talk about how He uses the waiting season to prepare us for what’s ahead.

Acknowledge and Empathize

Sister, I know how it feels to be stuck in the in-between.

You see others achieving their goals, and you wonder, “What about me?” It’s hard not to question if you’ve missed your chance or if your dreams will ever come true.

But let me remind you that God’s timing is perfect. You are not forgotten, and the waiting is not wasted.

Explore Missteps and Misplaced Focus

When dreams feel distant, it’s tempting to take matters into our own hands. We try to rush the process, compare ourselves to others, or even give up.

But Isaiah 40:31 says, “Those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint.”

Sometimes, the delays are God’s way of building our strength, character, and faith for the blessings ahead.

Bring God into the Solution

Trusting God’s process means surrendering your timeline to Him.

Pray and ask, “Lord, what are You teaching me in this season?” Reflect on the ways He has been shaping you—through challenges, lessons, and unexpected detours.

Remember, He is preparing you for something greater than you can imagine.

Find encouragement in His promises. Jeremiah 29:11 assures us, “For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.”

Even when you can’t see the finish line, trust that God is leading you toward it.

Call to Uplifting Action

Today, I challenge you to take one step of faith.

Write down your dreams and lay them before God in prayer. Instead of focusing on what hasn’t happened yet, thank Him for the preparation season. Look for small ways to grow and trust that He is working all things for your good.

Sister, delay does not mean denial. Keep your eyes on God, and know that He is faithful to fulfill the dreams He’s placed in your heart.

Trust the process and stay encouraged.
